Fairy Door Festival Starts

Last year during our Curb Appeal event, a flurry of fairy doors appeared in Gorge Tillicum - and many of them became permanent fixtures! That gave us an idea: what if Curb Appeal morphed into the “Fairy Door Festival?”

From May 1-14, we're encouraging Gorge Tillicum residents to spread a bit of magic throughout our streets by putting a fairy door anywhere that’s visible from the street. Keep it subtle and rustic, or go for maximum sparkle - it’s up to you!

Not sure how to source a fairy door? Here are some ideas:

- make your own from scratch - there are lots of tutorials online!

- get a plain door and decorate it (you can often find them at dollar stores)

- buy a beautifully crafted fairy door from a local artisan

The Fairy Door Festival will also include a couple of exciting events:

- May 4, 10am-2pm: Fairy Door Workshop Tillicum Centre. Stay tuned for details on how to participate!

- May 11, 10:30am: Fairy Procession and Scavenger Hunt at Meadow Park. Put on your fairy wings and take a whimsical stroll into the enchanted woods. Free cupcakes will be served upon your return!
